Clinical exercise physiology services are a recognised allied health service in Australia, endorsed by Medicare and is eligible to be covered by Medicare as part of an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan.

Do I need a Doctor's referral?

GP referral is required to specifically receive clinical exercise physiology services as part of an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan under Medicare. Otherwise, just like any other allied health service, anybody can engage private exercise physiology services without needing a referral.

What types of health insurance do you accept?

Clinical exercise physiology services are all covered by private health insurance, WorkCover and TAC insurance schemes. You may need to double check to ensure your specific health fund covers EP, but most do.
